- There may be a record of a pending transaction on your bank statement when the transaction through the card method doesn’t succeed (error appears on the checkout). This happens because the authorization request was sent to the banking institution. In case of an error/failure, Green Thumb is making sure to cancel/void the authorization. Depending on processing time by the specific bank, the funds from cancelled/voided authorizations should be placed back on your card within 2-7 days.  

- Cancellation/voiding of the authorization is not the same as a refund, so there won't be a record of the refund on your bank statement. The funds originally reserved/held by the bank for the transaction will just be released back to your card's balance.  

###### When a payment fails, we recommend checking the following:

* Did you input your card information correctly?
* Is your card currently valid?
* Is there a limit on your card?
* Did you contact your bank to make sure you are able to make payments?


###### Paying for an Order/Extra

To place an order, find the Gig you wish to purchase and click on the continue button.   

On the next page, you will have the option to edit your purchase, meaning you can add additional services and you can increase the number of Gigs you wish to purchase. Once you've customized your order, click on the order now.  

On the right side of the page, you will see the breakdown of the Gig's price, any applicable taxes, and fees, and you will be able to input a discount code if you have one. Once you click on the confirm & pay with the pay button the order will be processed, you will be charged, and the order page will be created.  

###### Paying for a Custom Offer

When a seller sends you a custom offer or a quote, you will have a button to complete the purchase. If the extra is purchased through an active order page, the funds will be credited to that order.  

If it's a new offer, a new order page will be created. 

Green Thumb works by letting families pay in advance for “gigs” which are any type of lawn mowing service, ranging from Lawn Care to Pest Control, Tree and Shrub Care and Snow Removal.  

All gigs are required to be priced at a minimum of $30, but lawn care providers can decide to charge more or offer packages of services. Orders are typically completed within a day or two, but the delivery time is set by the Lawn Care Provider and can take longer if the Lawn Care Provider has a queue of orders.  

When your order is successfully completed, and you approve the delivery, the Lawn Care Provider will receive a service fee. There are two ways to view the site, as a Lawn Care Provider or as a Customer.

* Gig: A service offered on Green Thumb’s website.    
* Lawn Care Provider: A registered user who offers Gigs  
* Customer: A registered user who purchases Gigs (When a Gig is purchased, it’s called an order)   
* Post a Request: A Customer request for services (Gigs) if they have a specific need
